Interlibrary
Loan:
SEMLS has three programs that support resource
sharing. The programs are MassCat, Medidated
Interlibrary Loan and Net Lender.
MassCat:
http://www.masscat.org
A cooperative project of five Massachusetts
regional library systems, CMRLS, Metrowest,
NMRLS, SEMLS and WMRLS, MassCat provides access
to the bibliographic holdings of libraries
that are not part of the state's automated
networks. To learn more about MassCat visit
the MassCat
Web site or contact Kathy
Lussier or Cindy
Roach.
Mediated Interlibrary Loan:
http://thomascranelibrary.org/reference/interloan/ClioWeb/Index.cfm
The Thomas Crane Public Library serves as
the regional processing center for Mediated
Interlibrary Loan. Quincy has an ILL
webform. If you have questions about
ILL contact Quincy ILL.
The SEMLS ILL Committee has developed an
ILL
brochure that you can use to promote ILL.
Net Lender:
SEMLS has instituted a net lender program
to facilitate resource sharing among our members.
This program compensates those libraries that
contribute to regional resource sharing by
loaning more materials to regional members
than they borrow from regional members.
