The sandbox includes devices and equipment that many of our patrons and students use on a regular basis. Our hope is the sandbox will help library staff feel more comfortable with this technology and will stimulate discussion on programs and services the library can offer to reach out to these users.
Libraries may request the Sandbox as an "On the Road" workshop or may request a one-week loan of the Sandbox. The Sandbox includes:

Now that fall has arrived, SEMLS is taking another look at selecting a science database. Please check out our database trials to the three science databases that ranked the most highly in last spring's database survey. SEMLS is also planning to schedule a demo day for members to evaluate the databases. We'll post the date here as soon as it has been confirmed.
