delivery@semls.org – Use this e-mail address to report delivery problems or to report a library closing that will require a stop or change in delivery.

ce@semls.org – Use this e-mail for any registration questions or to cancel participation in a class.

helpdesk@semls.org – Use this e-mail for any database troubleshooting or access questions, including IP updates.

info@myowncafe.org – Use this e-mail address for any My Own Cafe questions or to request admin status for a teen volunteer.

My Own Cafe Starts Monthly Guest Series

My Own Cafe has started a monthly guest series to get writers, artists, etc. on to the site to talk to teens.

The series is launching this week with author Cameron Stracher, who will be sharing the first chapter of his current work-in-progress, Momo's River. The novel takes place in a not-too-distant future when the world runs out of fresh water. Teens who are registered users of My Own Cafe will have a chance to give Stracher feedback on this first chapter.

A promotional flyer is available for libraries to publicize this feature.

If you have any questions about My Own Cafe or how your library can participate in the Web site, send an e-mail to info@myowncafe.org.

Teen Author Alisa Libby Is My Own Cafe Monthly Guest

Young adult author Alisa Libby is going to be the featured guest for My Own Cafe this month. Alisa is the author of two young adult novels, The Blood Confession and The King's Rose.

Both novels are pieces of historical fiction for teens. While she is visiting My Own Cafe, we will also sponsor a writing contest for My Own Cafe teens. Registered users between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited to write a short piece of historical fiction (two pages or less) and submit it to the Creativity Center by April 28. Users who enter the contest will have a chance to win an autographed copy of The King's Rose.

We have created a flyer for libraries to promote the author visit and the contest.
