Grant Funding Sources

 

Institute of Museum and Library Services

IMLS funds a variety of programs to support and strengthen library and museum services. Innovation and collaboration are key components of these grants. Deadlines range from October to May. See a full listing of IMLS grants.

Massachusetts and Local Grants

Among these grants are funding for public programming, preservation, school, services to children, and local history projects. Be aware of deadlines and geographic restrictions. The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners supports varied grant programs for libraries of all types.

National Endowment for the Humanities

NEH's goal is to support education, research, preservation, and public programming in the humanities. Deadlines vary throughout the year. See a complete listing of NEH funded opportunities.

President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities

Established in 1982, the President's Committee identifies issues and develops initiatives in support of the arts and the humanities. Each Administration sets priorities for funding.
