Materials & Supply Cooperative

• Materials are discounted from 25% to 80% off the catalog prices. Supplies are discounted from 5% to 20% off.
• FY08 Participants
• To join the FY08 Material & Supply Cooperative, just fill out the Participation and Pledge forms. If requesting forms after the FY 08 deadline, new participants are added on a quarterly bases, October, January, April and July. Vendors have extended pricing through FY 09.
• As only one Participation Form and one Pledge Form has to be returned, please coordinate the filling out of these forms between those responsible for material (books, videos, cd’s, audio cassettes, etc.) acquisitions and those responsible for supply (book jackets, tape, labels, etc.) acquisitions. It is understood that the amounts pledged for each year are subject to local and state appropriation and are not binding. Libraries should not commit their entire material and/or supply budget to the cooperative. Some funds should be reserved for spending elsewhere, i.e. “rush” orders to local bookstores or local supply vendors.
• Please note that the favorable terms extended to Cooperative participants by selected vendors for materials and supplies are available only to those libraries returning the enclosed!
• The Cooperative intends to “Do Business” with more than one vendor, making it possible for participants to use several vendors and still receive the benefits of the cooperative membership.
• As many librarians have expressed a williness to pay for shipping costs on AV materials (not AV supplies) in order to open up the bidding process to more vendors, we have added additional AV material categories in which to pledge.
